Meet the Team
Monica King, RDH is a United States Navy veteran originally from Brooklyn, New York, who served in the Navy’s medical corps. With over 16 years of experience as a dental hygienist, Monica is known for building strong, lasting relationships with her patients and promoting excellent patient retention.
She describes her approach to care as gentle but effective. Monica believes dental visits should never be something patients fear. Her focus is on providing thorough, high-quality care while ensuring patients feel comfortable, respected, and confident returning for future visits. Her goal is simple: help patients maintain healthy smiles without making them anxious about coming back.
Outside of the office, Monica is a devoted mother to a child with special needs, a role that further shapes her compassionate, patient-centered approach to care.
Xiomara has been working in the dental field since 2012. With over a decade of experience in dentistry, she has held multiple roles including dental assistant, Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA), treatment plan coordinator, office manager, and regional manager. In 2016, Xiomara completed her EFDA training at Fortis College, further strengthening her clinical expertise.
Her extensive background in both clinical dentistry and dental office management allows her to oversee daily operations efficiently while supporting the dental team and ensuring an exceptional patient experience. Xiomara is passionate about dental practice management, patient care coordination, and creating a welcoming, organized, and patient-focused dental office environment.
Outside of the dental office, Xiomara enjoys exploring new restaurants and considers herself a true foodie. She spends most of her free time with her kids and is actively involved in her older son’s soccer team. Family time is very important to her, and she loves staying involved in her children’s activities.
Itzy brings over 14 years of experience in the dental field, serving as Excite Dental’s Accounts Receivable Manager with a strong background in front desk coordination, office management, and comprehensive dental operations. With hands-on experience in both the front and back office, she has a well-rounded understanding of dental practice operations and patient care.
As a knowledgeable and confident treatment plan coordinator, Itzy enjoys educating patients and clearly explaining treatment options in a friendly, approachable way. She helps patients understand their dental treatment and financial options, ensuring they feel informed, comfortable, and supported every step of the way.
Her goal is to make every patient feel welcomed and well cared for from the moment they walk through the door. Outside of work, Itzy loves spending quality time with her two kids and values creating meaningful connections both in and out of the office.
Leah provides comprehensive support for the office, spanning both clinical and administrative areas.
She enjoys helping patients feel comfortable and welcomed, making every visit as pleasant and stress-free as possible.
Outside of work, Leah stays active through indoor cycling and running—having completed several 5K and 10K races.
She is currently training for a half-marathon along the Potomac River.
Lesley is the lead dental assistant at Excite Dental with almost 10 years of experience, dedicated to making patients feel comfortable and ensuring they have a positive dental experience. She enjoys being involved in the digital aspects of dentistry and loves learning new technologies that improve patient care. Outside of the office, Lesley is happily married and enjoys spending time with her husband and family. In her free time, she loves shopping and traveling.
Andrea is a Dental Assistant at Excite Dental who recently completed her dental assisting program and is beginning her career in the dental field. She is a sweet, compassionate team member who is dedicated to providing high-quality patient care and helping patients feel comfortable during every dental visit.
As a trained dental assistant, Andrea supports our dentists and clinical team with chairside assistance, patient education, and maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming dental environment. Her caring personality and attention to detail help ensure a positive experience for patients of all ages.
When she’s not in the dental office, Andrea enjoys relaxing and watching soccer. She is excited to continue growing her skills in dentistry while delivering excellent care to the Excite Dental community.
